Abstract Creation of and the following research on systems featuring elastomer filled with a magnetic disperse material good electroconductive properties have been continuation development magnetorheological fluids goal finding compositions exhibiting stronger effect. More profound investigations revealed that composite materials given type also exhibit other significant features such as magnetodeformation, magnetostriction, field-induced shape memory, piezomagnetoresistance, for which reason they are frequently classified ‘magnetoactive elastomers’. Within frames this work, relationships between dielectric polymer external fields done. As has shown by experiments, changing field from zero to 330 mT causes best samples improve their conductive six orders magnitude. At same time, capacitance measured along resistance increases factor 30. Reproducible less subjected emergence runouts at frequencies 1 kHz higher, capacitance-based data offer hope elastomers may be candidates being employed sensors. In order make sample-dependent results comparable, capacitances interpreted permeabilities. It should noted though approach is strictly formal mechanism phenomenon observed still awaits its scrupulous study.
